Hi Emily

i have Degus and have had them a little while now, and
have bred them too, if you what to read my website
with two pages of degu info on, goto
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/crystalcavies and goto
the last too pages I have added basic info on
feeding, etc..
If you are getting them form a petshop, they should be
babies (youngsters) so training them should be fairly
easy, unless they are so frightened (if they are I
would look elsewhere personelly), Degus are fairly
tame anyway, offering greens treat or an odd once a
week peanut or two, or a couple of large sunflowers
each, can help. i did a lot of research and had
contacts with a pet nutritionalist that was sorting
out a degu diet at the time, and like Guinea pigs and
us they do need Vitamin C in their diet. hope this
helps.
