If I were to separate a mated pair, then when should I separate them? Male gerbils
participate in raising the pups, right? And if he's not around, is that not
detrimental for the babies and the mom? But the pair mates again immediately after a
litter is born, correct? So when is the best time to separate them? I'm thinking
that I'd like to breed one litter in the future, as there's no way my parents would
tolerate so many rodents.
