I've used wire baking trays (cooling racks) in my large cage setup.
I just wired them onto the sides of the cage. For an aquarium
though, you could look for one of the small ones that come with
collapsable stands, or you could use suction cup hooks to hold the
rack up. My gerbils never had a problem coping with the "open weave"
of the rack, though I would put a piece of cardboard "flooring" over
part of it (where their water bottle was). That had to be replaced
regularly. Hope this helps,
