Hallo gerbil-friends,
I am glad that there is someone to whom I can deliver my grief, because I
think that there are not many people elsewhere, who can understand, that a
gerbil is not "only a mouse" but a beloved familiy-member.
Our Ruediger has passed away last weekend and I miss him very much. He was
already 5 years old, black with a white bib, and I know that it was a very
good age that he reached and of course I was aware of the fact that we'll
lose him quite soon. But nevertheless it hurts if you loose a companion
that has been with you so long time, especialy if it was such a tame and
friendly guy like our "Rueli".
Until his last moments he seemed healthy and in good mood, I guess he
passed away quietly during sleep.
His companion BlakDaisy, 2,5 years, is now alone, she is very quiet, comes
only out of the nest for using the sand-bowl as a toilet and to get some food.
