In all likelihood, it's not blood- gerbil mucous is pigmented red. It could
be from rubbing the nose on something, an allergy to bedding or something
in the cage or environment. What first comes to mind, though, is stress.
Discharge from nose and eyes can be brought on by stress. The fact that
you've only had them for 2 days means they're still probably adjusting to
their environment- moving homes is a very stressful experience for a
gerbil. I would make sure you're using a reasonably allergy-free bedding
(Carefresh or aspen) and give them some time to settle in.

You can put a very thin coat of neosporin on the nose, but if this is
stress-related, that may only serve to stress him more and make it worse.
Also, unless there's an actual wound, the Neosporin wouldn't help.

Keep an eye on him and let us know how he's doing!
