Hi Denise,You cannot introduce a single female to a
group of three females. You might be able to split
cage introduce her to one of the trio (and have two
tanks). I'd select the female that is the most mellow
and easy going of the trio.

Or you could give the single one to a hobby breeder to
pair up for you (that would be the lowest risk
solution since if the one from the trio doesn't work,
you'd have a pair, a single, and a single).

Gerbils should not smell. Make sure that they have
three or more inches of carefresh so that the waste
does not smell up the cage and them.

Good luck to you,
Donna
