Smelly Gerbils.

Please help!  I have one gerbil which I bought originally from a pet shop (I lost the other one) and I'm trying to introduce another 3 which I got from an animal shelter. Whereas Blackie from the pet shop smells clean and fresh, the other 3 smell bad!  They all have Chinchilla dust to bathe in and I've had the other 3 two weeks now, but they still smell as bad.  Is there anything I can do or do I just have to put up with this smelly problem?  They are all females.   Thanks,
