"No I won't use the wheel!!"

One of my gerbils, Matida will NOT go in the exercise wheel.  I try to put her in it, and block the sides it with my hands, so she won't get out, but she just sits there confused and scared!!!!  Do any of you have the same problem or any ideas?  Thanks in advance!
