hehe, forgot to answer this part. I bought them a nesting box big enough for both of them. I put toliet paper in there for them to sleep on, put they moved their nest behind the wheel in the corner. Any idea why? Gerbils commonly move their nests. It gives them a sense of security. So don't get insulted if they pick somewhere else to sleep for a few weeks. They'll probably move back in after awhile. I find that gerbils kept in cages seem to circulate over the course of a month to particular favorite nesting spots of theirs.
