I just subscribed to this list, mainly because of my partner who has been
taken up by my love of gerbils and has decided to try and breed from our
lonely Albino female :)
What I'd like to know is are there (or are there any plans for) any gerbil
shows in the South West of the UK? The only ones I've been able to find are
in Enfield and the like...
I'd also like to find out if there is a cheat sheet for predicting what the
young may be like by looking at the two parents? I mentioned earlier that
the female is an albino, the male we've managed to rescue (from the RSCPA,
same place as the female) is what appears to be a black variety. Am I right
in thinking the young would be Dove/Lilac? Is there a website somewhere
that provides guides? (Other than the gene types, those things are mind
boggling!)
