Hello, I'm a new gerbil owner with a couple questions.
Just got a pair of males last week. A nutmeg named
Duncan and a dark-eyed honey named Conner.

Anyway, I'm a big concerned about Conner. Compared to
Duncan he is ALOT more skittish, lazy and other
things. He seems to spend much more time in the
house, be less interested in the going ons of the
outside world, Duncan eats sitting in the food dish,
Conner grabs something and then runs back into the
house. He does get active sometimes, he'll come out
and try to play fight and groom and sometimes try to
run on the wheel but when he does that Duncan normally
takes over because he loves the wheel. He does really
get into using the gerbil ball when we've put him in
there and zooms around on the kitchen floor. The
poops that he left behind in the ball were looser than
Duncans but not too bad, they did stink a fair bit
more though.

Not having much experience I don't know whether or not
to chalk these things up to just personality
differences or whether or not I should be concerned
about Conner's health. I'm afraid that I was reading
up on ailments and now may be a bit of a hypochondriac
for Conner's sake.

So, can you guys tell me if I'm just worrying myself
for nothing of if I have reason to be concerned?

Thanks,
Travis
