I got a killer deal today at my local swap meet (ended there by chance,
and am thrilled) paid $5! for a 20gal long tank with lid. I've been looking
into this set up now for a few weeks, for 4 of males. (they've been staying
in one of my old rat cages)
A 20 gallon long has the footprint of a 30 gallon tank, just not
as high. This is enough for four males. I usually figure one pair
to a ten gallon at minimum, and prefer the 15 gallon tanks I
acquired for a pair, especially a breeding pair. I have put a
trio (all same sex) into a 15 and they seem comfortable.
Just make sure that you make things gnawproof and escape proof. !
Congrats on your find.
