Go to www.geocities.com

You can signup with Yahoo and build a website and have
it hosted for free.  The tool is a drag and drop one
called Page Builder. If you can use something like
Powerpoint, you should be able to use this (though
paste is strange, you have to open the clipboard
Ctrl-V to paste text into there and then hit the
"Paste" button).
The "catch" is that an advertisement block appears in
the top right corner of your pages.

My older pictures such as those on the home page are
photos that I scanned in.  The newer pictures such as
on the Available Pups page are from a good quality
digital camera.  Both are fine for web-sized pictures,
but if I enlarged the digital pictures you'd see
amazing detail -- each individual whisker and hair.
