The most curious thing just happened while I was sitting here
catching up on emails.
Nothing had changed in my stance, or anything else in the room for
that matter, when I suddenly heard one of the little pups, "Kinky" as
I call her, for the kink in her tail, started thumping her feet. One
of her brothers picked it up, as well as one of her sisters. The
funny thing is, while Kinky was thumping, she was going about her
normal business (nosing in the food bowl, seeing what her brothers
and sisters are up to, etc.) while the other two seemed to think
there was actually some reason to be thumping their feet. I'm
assuming Kinky was just testing out her legs - just as a young child
will stomp around the house for no other reason than the novelty of
it. :) The others must have gotten confused, and thought there was
something to be scared of, for they took to the corners and stayed
still while still thumping.
Of course, mom and dad and the other 3 more sensible pups knew there
was nothing to be bothered about, and didn't seem to react at all to
the goings on. And of course, once Kinky finally stopped, the others
did too.
I just found this all terribly amusing, and wanted to share. :)
I also find it quite funny when one of the agouti pups (I honestly
can't tell them all apart at this age, but I think it's one of the
same ones that took up the thumping) tends to sort of 'jerk' around
the tank.... or maybe 'blink' is the right word. It's like first
she's here, then suddenly she's HERE, with no obvious stage in
between. Perhaps she has stumbled upon a way to travel through space
without that hindering factor called "Time". :)
Just wanted to share. That's all!
