I've done this. You can get HUUUUGE plastic tubs for like $12 at Target.
Equivalent to about 30 gal probably. I've had two like this. The first,
after a year they finally managed to chew their way through it (easy enough
to replace, though), the 2nd they never so much as scratched it (different
tub design)

I prefer 10 gallon tanks, really, but if i needed to house a larger group
I'd definitely use a plastic tub. (Mine was for a group of 6)
