Sounds like dehydration to me. Am I wrong?
Somewhere in the logs the treatment of dehydration has been discussed
before. I cannot recall the exact steps to take, but he does have a
good possibility to live if treated soon enough.

My gerbil Syio, has been very ill the past 3 days. He's weak, grown
very skinny, his genitals look somewhat shriveled up. He is ice cold
and does not open his eyes. He does make an attempt to drink somewhat
but he cant drink from a bottle so I give him water using an
eyedropper which works. He does nibble on food a little, but not
alot. I recently was told he may have Wet Tail, so I got some DriTail
and I have been giving then to him for a day now. I removed him from
Malika's cage and he is in his own cage now. I put a light over the
cage to keep him warm since he's so cold,...Is this a good idea? Will
the light harm him? And is there anything I can do to make him live?
What might he have? Also this morning I noticied he wasnt breathing
very strongly but since I gave him water he's breathing a lot better
and has started to chew the toilet paper roll, but still way to weak
to do speedily. Please tell me how to care for him.
