Here are two photos that almost show what my Mother gerbil Muffin really looks like in person. She looks as white as a pink eyed white except in very good light where the little peachy-orange tinting shows up in places on her sides and lower back. In one of these pictures you can see it pretty good. Muffin is the one who just gave birth to the two dark eyed pups about a week ago, but could not care for them. They are still doing well with Biscuit btw.
I have studied all the color charts I can find many times and she does look a lot like the Light Ivory creme on the Gerbil Color Palette. However, It has also been suggested she may be a dark tailed white who has not had the darkening of the tail yet. If that is the case, perhaps the Himilayan gene causes a sort of yellowing to the fur like in the mystical abinal snowman, or seen in polor bears in some lighting conditions. I wish I could decide for sure on a color type for her in case I register her with the ags. Please see the photo links below , Can you see the peachy-orange tinting? http://www.geocities.com/spicegerbil_007/whatcolor1.jpg http://www.geocities.com/spicegerbil_007/whatcolor2.jpg Jade __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
