Here are two photos that almost show what my Mother
gerbil Muffin really looks like in person. She looks
as white as a pink eyed white except in very good
light where the little peachy-orange tinting shows up
in places on her sides and lower back. In one of these
pictures you can see it pretty good. Muffin is the one
who just gave birth to the two dark eyed pups about a
week ago, but could not care for them. They are still
doing well with Biscuit btw.

I have studied all the color charts I can find many
times and she does look a lot like the Light Ivory
creme on the Gerbil Color Palette. However, It has
also been suggested she may be a dark tailed white who
has not had the darkening of the tail yet. If that is
the case, perhaps the Himilayan gene causes a sort of
yellowing to the fur like in the mystical abinal
snowman, or seen in polor bears in some lighting
conditions.

I wish I could decide for sure on a color type for her
in case I register her with the ags. Please see the
