HELP!!!!

Dear List,   I used to write a lot more about a year or two ago, but I've lately stopped and I haven't written for a very long time...but i am in need of help.   My pair of gerbils (Aveda and juan) are about 3 years old.  I went to their tank today to give em fresh food and Aveda's eyes are shut...you can open them, but she slowly closes them back up again. Even if she is in my hand. She still has an appetite and I am pretty sure she is drinking. I have no clue whats going on and I am very worried about her. If anybody can help me or give me ideas that would be greatly appreciated...PLEASE WRITE BACK ASAP!   -Amy Aveda and Juan
