Hello List,
I have a female gerbil that is about to POP!!! :o) but I am retiring her
from the program and have taken her mate out so she can't breed again. She
has produced too many biters :o( NOT being the only problem, she also
attacks her babies and drives them away at 5 weeks old :o( As a
consequence, she is now alone in a large tank and I'm really feeling guilty
about that :o( I know it's what has to be done though. I would feel allot
better if she had 1 of babies with her, but that doesn't work for some
reason she keeps after them :o( so Dad and babies are together instead.

She looks sad and that makes this even harder to do :o( will she do okay
with this new litter alone??? do they get depressed and not do well with
this happening??? I know some of you must have had this happen and I'd like
to know if there is anything I should watch for or will it be fine??? Thanks
in advance for your input/advise ......
