Hi I recently saw a type of cat litter made from small pellets of wood (compressed sawdust ?) and was wondering if this would be suitable for gerbil tanks. I want to use it in the breeding tanks instead of sawdust (causes breathing probs.) or paper (not very absorbant).
Has anyone tried this? Is it safe? Any other suggestions? I am in the UK, in Bristol Colin
