Here's an interesting situation. It appears that my two 7 wk. old female
gerbils have made their own nest apart from the Mom's nest. They have
two of the 1 wk. old babies in their nest. I suppose they're trying to
emulate their mother, but they obviously can't provide milk for these two
babies in their nest, so I worry that the 1 wk. old babies are getting
the milk they need. Today I moved them back to the Mom's nest, because
one of the babies is not much bigger than the runt that we lost. Has
anyone else ever seen this happen?
