Hi list, I have a few logs I'd like to put in the tank for my gerbils to climb on and nibble. Is it OK to do so (they would provide a kind of "natural ladder" access to the next level.) Should I scrap the bark of them ? Is there any tree known to be toxic to gerbils ? One of the logs comes from a cherry tree.
