Swaying only occurs in pink eyed gerbils (that I know of) It happens because of their depth perception.... which is a little off due to being albinos..... have heard it it their way of focusing or getting a better look at you/environment. some are worse than others... also pink eyed animals and rodents are more sensitive to light....
