>Hi I once experienced this too, apparently my gerbil had run with its head against something in the cage and its teeth were broken. After a week and a half its teeth had grown back but in the meantime I had to feed him with a syringe with porridge. I would check whether its lower front teeth don't get too long. Gerbils have back-teeth too so it should be able to gnaw at something, but my gerbil was in so much pain it didn't want to eat out of itself. Good luck with Poke-poke
