It may be residual from the infection she had, but it
may also be sensitivity to something else. The red
nose syndrome is usually what happens to a gerbil who
is allergic to some type of bedding. Though if you are
still using care fresh I can't understand it. I
haven't heard much a bout a gerbil being allergic to
carefresh, but I suppose it is possible.

One thing I know you can do to help the gerbil feel
better is try to find her some willow branches to chew
on. This is like aspirin for gerbils yet harmless to
them. One of my rescue gerbils will just not seem to
heal her nose. The others all got well fast, but every
time Eggo gets well within a day or so she is broken
out again. Its very frustrating. I think she worries
with it too much and aggravates the condition.

Perhaps try calling the vet to see if she will give
any advice over the phone.

best of luck to you,

Jade
