Well....all was well with my 3 little males. but yesterday I noticed one had
like a black bald patch on his nose. I thought he was developing a black
marking (lol! OK....but I'm a novice!). But this morning, the patch seems
bigger and his brother seems to be starting the same thing (same side as
well, slightly on the right sideof the nostrils). Apart from that they are
very active, eat and drink, play and come and greet me. Soooooo ! Of course
I'm upset because I want what's best for them. They are 6 weeks olds and
I've had them for 2 weeks. They are in a big tank with lots of wood toys. I
use pine shavings but I store those in a big open cardboard box so as to air
it. If it is an allergy to pine (they were born and bred on pine shavings),
wouldn't it have started earlier rather than now (i.e the folllowing days I
got them) ?
I can't find any supplier of Aspen or Carefresh that's why I used pine. The
only thing I have changed recently is the nesting stuff. I have used toilet
paper made from recycled paper. Could this be what they are allergic to (if
it is an allergy) ? It may sound stupid but I'm worried sick as I've grown
very attached to them.

TIA
Catherine
