We used to. Ferrets are great, but take much patience and tolerance (much like children). They are a pretty high-maintainence pet, and you also need to consider that some ferrets can be pretty good hunters. We had more than one incident between our ferrets and gerbils that ended up fatal for the gerbils. Michelle Flutist
