You're lucky she accepted a younger male so easily. This isn't the norm.

Secondly, unless you're meaning to breed, I would find another cage
mate for her.

And thirdly, if this is happened with the introductions just being
made, then she is probably a submissive gerbil, and she's just
getting used to another gerbil in her tank. Give them a week or so,
and they should be just dandy.

And I must stress, unless you really want the responsibility of
breeding gerbils (they can have a LOT of babies in their life time),
finding another same sex mate for your female. Or finding a castrated
male. :)
