Territorial Age?

Howdy List  :o) I know I've asked this and done it a few times too, but, at what age do these pups become territorial and in need of "split cage" when introducing 2 male pups 4 weeks different in age, (the youngest 6 weeks old) The two are very well mannered and love attention from people  :o)  It gets so hard to adopt out some of these guys cause the line that is getting better and better in being well behaved gerbils  :o)  it's almost as though they'd follow you around for attention, even if they were allowed to have the "run of the house" like Gerbie could have, rather than run and hide they'll hang out and run up your pant leg to get scratches behind the ear  :o)  ......... anyway, we just can't keep every one that we raise, ya know? but, what age are they too territorial to be put together without splitcage? is my question, okay?  :o)   Don Naseth Wilderness Gerbils Washington State USA
