Thanks Sergey, The operative words were, to build "on Windows", that is "natively" on Windows. (I'm stuck with a Windows PC, and the Intel chip doesn't support virtualization.) OK, it sounds like building on Windows is not supported. I'll have to find a PC that I can set Linux up on if I want to go ahead.
