I am not really happy with a build system that requires such user
interaction to function.

It seems you might have to log into BEA to get it (if so, yuck).
Otherwise I'm downloading a zip from here now

in the hope it contains xmlbeans 1.0. Is there some reason this jar
isn't on ibiblio?
