Patch Set 3: Code-Review-1 I still don't see why we should introduce yet another build-time ddependency that all of our users need to install. I'm already quite unhappy with the recent new 'bumpversion' dependency.
The commit message still doesn't state *why* you are proposing this. What is wrong with the current approach? Which important fixes to git-version-gen have we missed?
