If there's a problem in one of the data files that get_iplayer uses then uninstall & reinstall is unlikely to fix it; many apps preserve any user's data over an uninstall/reinstall in exactly the same way that they would if you updated the version of the app. You'd want that to happen normally. >5. System Restore to before update -> same error System restore restores things like registry settings, older version of drivers etc. It won't (normally) affect any user data. >6. sfc/scannow & C: scan -> "Corrupt files successfully repaired." Well, maybe, but maybe not. Maybe some files have been repaired but are now out of step with related files. I think you need dinkpumpkin to tell you what the specific error code you're getting actually means. Do you back up your user data files? Restoring those to a point when it all last worked might fix this. -- Jeremy Nicoll - my opinions are my own. _______________________________________________ get_iplayer mailing list [email protected] http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/get_iplayer
