Though I don't feel comfortable running FFmpeg knowing that all those scary red
messages are being generated and hidden.
I wouldn't do that myself - it's asking for trouble. We'll have to get
to bottom of what's going with ffmpeg before contemplating any changes,
but that's pretty far down the list.
