As I originally said, it's an 'interesting quirk' to watch out for so, given the likely rarity and that I now know to watch for it, I'll amend the directory name manually and am happy to wait for any integrated, generalised fix that may be forthcoming.
Automatic relocation of radio downloads from local WinXP machine to same structure on NAS does not yet happen here. It's watching for any gotchas in recent downloads before trying to implement it that caused me to spot this.
