Are these the lists of the cabals, the elite and the brotherhoods? ;) Over my probably several years shorter time on the net I've encountered both a member requirement and anything goes, and some in between, which might be a good compromise for the get_iPlayer list if the admins/moderators can tolerate the slight extra workload--emails from non-members go to the moderation queue, to be decided by a moderator whether it gets posted (Mailman supports this).
