I've now a response to my query to the BBC:

Thanks so much for getting in touch.
We are sorry to hear that you could not get watching Ray Mears's
Bushcraft – Series 1 Episode 4 as it was not available on BBC iPlayer
for you.
The reason that the programme is not available is because we did not
have the rights to make this episode available online for on demand
access, unlike the rest of the series.
