Iplayer is blocked to UK access so you have to look as if you are in the UK.

If you don't have remote access to your home kit then the only option is a VPN bought from a provider and this may (or may not) work when you specify a UK exit point. May not because some VPN providers actually work with larger content providers to maintain legitimate content access - where laws require it amongst other reasons.

My router provides a good VPN option so personally I create my own VPN and bounce off my home router. Cheaper than any other provider (free), comes from my own ip address for those providers monitoring such and doesn't require me to have any other IT kit switched on. If you use bbc.co.uk at all, it also allows you to see that version of the website rather than the world version.

Downside is you need to have set it up before you left!

If you do have access to your kit remotely - then just remote in and use them as normal.

Hope you find a way to get what you need.

Hi,
Slightly OT request:  I am in NZ staying with family and will be away for another month or so.

All is well except that I have been starved by absence of BBC. Here I cannot get even the BBC world service or whatever it has been downgraded to because the TV does not have a BBC channel.  It has AJ, France 24, Euro channel, CNN and even GB News but not BBC!

I am not worried about streaming so some questions on GiP or any equivalents that I can use to access BBC.

Is GiP geoblocked?
Are there equivalent methods to access the BBC content servers.  I read here a long time ago that there is a yt-dl option.

I am reaching out because I am away from my home machine and have forgotten most of what I used to know about GiP.  Some of you may understand!!!
Best wishes and regards,
Budge.
