Just a few days ago someone mentioned a trick that has worked for me in getting a Mach-O built apps icon to appear. Build the app and then go to the finder and right-click or Control-Click on the new app and choose Duplicate from the popup menu. The duplicate will have the proper icon so delete the original and rename the duplicate back to what it should be. Been working for me since this trick was published a few days ago.
