Barry,
I posted awhile back where on e-bay the same seller had 3 of these brand new and the starting price was $8.00 and shipping was reasonable. I already had one I got from Amazon for list price. Keep watching both places and you will find a better deal. I had seen someone asking about $250 on Amazon once. Yikes!

Subject: Erick Tejkowski's REALbasic for Dummies
Date: Thu, 19 Jan 2006 08:08:24 -0500

I know that a book exists by Erick Tejkowski called REALbasic for Dummies, but it appears that it is out-of-print and that even used copies that are described only as "Acceptable" are being sold for $45.00 or more (much more).

Abebooks.com, for example, lists three copies as presently available:

one for $45.45 plus shipping without the CD,

one for $110.70 plus shipping in "Very Good" condition (although it doesn't say whether or not the CD is included), and

one for $181.56 plus shipping (in non-designated condition and it doesn't say whether the CD is included).

Two Questions:

(1) What is so special about the book that it commands such a high price?

(2) Is it really worth the investment?
