Seth. Sorry, you are correct, the number is converted to a string
before it is put into the editfield. The number is derived from Val
(myFfeld.text) after the user enters a number in the field.... but I
doubt if this is the source of the problem.

Do you mean the Str function? The EditField class pretty much
doesn't even know what a number is. :)
