Alt-sysrq-k only works with kernel >= 2.2.0
If you have an 2.0.x kernel, then there are two ways:

1. You upgrade your kernel
2. You mail to Alan Cox (=maintainer of 2.0.x kernel) to add support for
the sysrq-key.
