The patch (IIRC - it's been over a year since I last
played with the code) shouldn't require installed. I think
there are some symlinks you need to make, though....
I heartily DON'T recomment even trying to compile it. ;^)
Last time I got it to work was on a very patched LinuxPPC
kernel..
However, I do recomment that you dig through the header
files to get a feel for what I was tring to acoomplish.
Also, in the console driver directory there should
be a text file (called Architecture, IIRC) that describes
the boot sequence of GGI Console. That should get you started.
BTW: Was there _anyone_ other than I that cared about GGI Console
enough to try the code what I was developing it? If there's a
desire, I would love to work with the FBdev team to get more
GGI Console type structure into the kernel, at least on the
display side.
