Hi,

I've written a LibGGI output target for LiViD's mpeg2dec and a
suitable command line frontend to their DVD-player system, so now
you can watch DVD-movies and other mpeg2 streams using LibGGI.

It will use double buffering if available, and currently it requires
a DirectBuffer and at least 16 bpp truecolor.

As all rendering is done in software it needs a fast machine to
play DVD movies - my laptop's 500MHz Mobile P3 seems to be just
about sufficient when you use the fb-target. But just the audio
decoding takes about 15% of the CPU.

You can get the required patches and some more info from:

I'll also take the opportunity to tell you all I'll be away on
vacation for 2.5 weeks starting Monday.
