Maybe I don't understand how ggi is supposed to work but
when I try out the programs in the libggi#.#.#/programs/demos
directory I get an error that says my /dev/fb# doesn't exist.

I had no problem with the installation. I installed ggi, gii,
and the svgalib4ggi packages and everything went smoothly.

I also rebuilt the kernel with:

[*] Video mode selection support
[*] Support for frame buffer devices
[*] Vesa vga graphics console

I made sure that /dev/fb# really existed.

And this is the error I get:

--------------------------------------------------------

display-fbdev: Couldn't open framebuffer device /dev/fb0:
No such file or directory

SVGAlib target called from the SVGAlib wrapper! Terminating.

---------------------------------------------------------

So can anyone help?

Thanks,
Larry
