If the native framebuffer is at all usable it's always a good idea
to start with the LibGGI port. FreeBSD users can then start to use
and write LibGGI applications right away, and when your KGI port
is ready they can continue to use the applications without even
a recompile. (Ofcourse they can already run LibGGI applications
with the X, Xlib and dga targets as well as the many "pseudo-targets",
but native framebuffer support is definitely better, as fullscreen
with more or less direct access to the hardware is what LibGGI is
designed for.)
Also it helps the LibGGI goal of running anything, anywhere, in any
way.
