eek. i didn't know about this feature. after checking it out it
seems to be even slower than what i had in mind. i doubt gcc
optimizes out the calls to LIBGGIMapColor each pixel. using this
routine would dramatically slow down blitting, so you'd have to cache
the results anyway. was that what you had in mind?
