Andreas talked about a blit extension. I suggest to introduce
sprite handling in this extension, since it's strongly related.

I'll be working on the extension part this weekend.
The documentation part should also be investigated.
For now I'll put a link to the former documentation page.
Don't know if IE renders correctly. I just tested with netscape 4.7x
and mozilla.
