In addition to the problem with X, this does point out another problem
which is BSD-specific -- on freeBSD, if we fail to find X, we should 
be trying to open display-vgl, not display-svga.

If you could test that display-vgl is functional, and add code to
libggi/ggi/init.c to compile on BSD to use display-vgl instead of
display-svga, that would be great.
