Hi!

The GGI Team is proud to welcome the first release candidates of libgii
0.8.2 and libggi 2.0.2.

The release candidates are available on our GGI ftp server:

ftp://ftp.ggi-project.org/pub/ggi/ggi/v2.0/libgii-0.8.2-rc1.tar.bz2
ftp://ftp.ggi-project.org/pub/ggi/ggi/v2.0/libggi-2.0.2-rc1.tar.bz2

Please test them out and give us feedback on IRC [1] or here on this list.

Changes from libgii 0.8.1 to libgii 0.8.2-rc1:

- new input target Sharp Zaurus
- new kii input target (experimental)
- added CPU type detection (experimental)
- many bugfixes for multi-visual multi-threaded GGI Applications
- many build fixes for Solaris, *BSD
- major build system improvements

Changes from libggi 2.0.1 to libggi 2.0.2-rc1:

- The X target has been rewritten from scratch, making the former x/xlib
separation obsolete. The new code is potentially able to query and take
advantage of available X extensions (only SHM is implemented right now)
- the KGI target has been updated to work with KGI 0.9
Two ATI drivers (Mach64 and Radeon) are available.
Note, that this target is still experimental.
- added support for truecolor modes to the tele-target plus speed
  improvements.
- added mach64 driver to the fbdev target (experimental)
- first start of SWAR [2] support (highly experimental, thus disabled)
